Posted by justinAfter a taxi-taxi-ferry-taxi we've arrived at Lonely Beach which is near the southern tip of the island.
There are more resorts (a very loosely applied term in these parts) than tourists it seems. Which is fine, and good, and exactly what we were after. Our first stop was our first pick - Tree house lodge. In terms of the vision we had of engaging in a low-key, simple-living, Thai island existence this is coming close. Very close.
Our little thatched hut contains a simple mattress and mosquito net, wooden ledge for books inside, and hammock outside on the deck.
The perfectly humid island climate means the only dilemmas faced by travellers are whether to read on the beach or sleep in the hammock. Our lazy heat-affected minds have only recently discovered you may also sleep on the beach or read in the hammock. Astounding. The possibilities are endless.
Hey Jus. Hey Dee. I'm enjoying your words and visuals. Your reportage rocks. The beach looks so serene it's disturbing.
I'm lost for words just now so i'll just use Molly's.
Keep up the great surveillance guys. I love it! You really nailed Tuesday. Just awesome! Anyone who says Australia lacks quality talent has been proven how wrong they really are!
(and, let's not forget...)
You guys rock!

Love ya,
Mum / Molly
